PRIVACY POLICY · 18 SEPTEMBER 2026
The program sends nothing anywhere. The only data of yours we keep is your email, if you give it.
GUARDIANA is a program you install on your own PC. There is no user account, there is no server of ours receiving anything from your machine, there is no telemetry. The only personal thing that exists outside your machine is the email address of whoever joins the launch list or writes to us, and point 2 covers that. What follows explains, in detail, what stays on your machine, what leaves it and who sees it.
1 · This website
It uses no cookies, no analytics, and no fonts or scripts from third parties. The “What your browser tells” receipt at the top of the home page is computed inside your own browser and shows what any website can read from it; it is neither sent nor stored anywhere, except a visit counter that stays in your browser. If you write to hola@guardianagroup.com, we keep that address to answer you and nothing else. The “tell me on 5 October” button takes you to another site, which is not ours: point 2 explains what happens there.
2 · The launch list
If you ask to be told about the launch, we do not store that address: it is stored by beehiiv, Inc., a company in the United States, which is also who sends the emails. Their servers are in the United States. It is the only personal data in all of GUARDIANA that lives outside your machine.
- What is stored. Your email address, the date you signed up, and whether you open the emails we send or click a link inside them. That last part is measured by the provider on its own and cannot be switched off; we say so because it is true. We ask for no name, no country and no phone.
- What for. To tell you on launch day and to report what really changes in the program. Never third-party advertising. The list is not sold, not shared, and never crossed with anything from the program: there would be no way, because the program sends nothing.
- You have to confirm. After signing up an email arrives asking you to confirm. If you do not confirm, we do not write to you.
- How to leave. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. You can also write to hola@guardianagroup.com and I will do it.
- Deletion. If you ask for your address to be deleted, it is deleted from the whole list, not just from the sending.
Signing up is the only thing on this site that takes you somewhere else, and it happens there, on the provider's page, under their own privacy policy. Until you press that button, this site talks to nobody.
3 · The program
GUARDIANA writes down, on your machine, the names of the services each device in your home tries to
contact, the time, the device and the category. Never the content of what you do, nor how much data moves.
That ledger lives on your PC (Windows: C:\ProgramData\Guardiana; Linux:
/var/lib/guardiana), it is yours, and you can export it and delete it completely from the panel
(“What Guardiana knows about you”). Whoever administers that PC can read it: GUARDIANA does not encrypt it
or hide it from the person who administers the machine, and its threat model says so plainly.
The program contacts no server of ours. The only outgoing connections are the ones you cause: activating a licence, checking for a new version, or updating the name lists. Each one is written into the panel with its date, destination and size.
4 · Home Mode
With Home Mode on, your PC answers the name queries of the other devices on your Wi-Fi. The household panel shows totals per device; the detail of a phone is visible only from that phone, unless its owner shares it. GUARDIANA is not parental control and does not watch people.
5 · Buying
Payment happens on the payment gateway's page, which acts as merchant of record: it receives your payment and billing details, issues the invoice and handles taxes under its own privacy policy. We never see your card. When you activate a licence with a key, the program makes a single connection to the gateway to check it, and that connection is written into your ledger. If you would rather not make even that connection, you can activate with a signed licence file that we send you by email.
6 · Your rights
We hold nothing from your machine: it is all there and you control it, so there is nothing to ask us for and nothing to delete. The only thing we can hold is your email address, if you joined the list or wrote to us; ask to see it or to have it deleted and it is done the same day. For any question: hola@guardianagroup.com. Data controller: Francisco Salvatierra Sánchez, Torre Empresarial PRODEGI, Carrera 3 # 9-30, 18th floor, Bocagrande, Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
7 · Changes
If this policy changes, it changes here, with the date. The program's code is public and anyone can check that it does what we say.
