1 · What it is

GUARDIANA is an open-source program (GPL-3.0-or-later) for Windows and Linux that turns your PC into the DNS guardian of your home. The full guardian is free and does not expire: your PC and the whole household, Home Mode included. What you pay for is the human layer described on the site: the Plus subscription, monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial, cancellable whenever you like, available from 5 October 2026.

2 · What it does not promise

GUARDIANA sees service names, not content, and not which app asked for them on a phone; it acts only on your home Wi-Fi; it is not an antivirus and not parental control; it does not see what goes around DNS (a VPN, an encrypted DNS of its own). We do not guarantee “total security”, nor protection against anything in particular. The full list of limits is on the site and inside the program itself. Using it is your decision and your responsibility, under the terms of the GPL-3.0 licence.

3 · Buying and the licence

Payment is made to the payment gateway, which acts as merchant of record, issues the invoice and handles taxes. You will receive a licence key (or, if you ask for it, a signed licence file) by email. The key is personal, for your household, and cannot be resold. Activating with a key makes one connection to the gateway; with a subscription the program checks it again once per payment period (monthly or yearly), and every connection is written into your ledger.

The price depends on the country of your card and your billing address, not on what the site shows. Plus monthly: US$2.49 in Latin America (Colombia included), €4.49 in Europe, £3.99 in the United Kingdom and US$4.99 in the rest of the world. Plus yearly, 20% less: US$23.90, €43.10, £38.30 or US$47.90. Any applicable taxes are added by the gateway.

The 7 trial days are not charged; if you cancel before they end, you pay nothing. A subscription can be cancelled at any time and ends at the end of the period already paid for; the price of a period already paid does not change. Cancelling the renewal does not refund the current period, except as point 4 says about the 30 days. Monthly and yearly have exactly the same features. Plus is a licence to use the program: it is not a stake in the company and not a financial product.

4 · Refunds

If within 30 days of buying GUARDIANA is not useful to you, write to hola@guardianagroup.com from the address you bought with and we return the full amount, no questions asked. The refund is processed by the gateway to the same payment method. You do not need to pay to try it: the full guardian is free.

5 · Support and updates

Support by email, in Spanish and English. Updates never install themselves: the program tells you and you decide. Version 2.0 (“which app asked for it”, Windows) and GUARDIANA 2 (January 2027) are included in Plus.

6 · Governing law
